What is buckled hardwood floor repair?
Hardwood buckles when boards absorb so much moisture that they push against each other and lift off the subfloor. Repair starts with finding the source, often a leak under a dishwasher or a slab leak, then drying the subfloor. Only after readings are normal are damaged boards replaced and blended in.
Signs you need this

Garland water damage questions
Why did my hardwood floor buckle?
Too much moisture. Common causes are a slow appliance leak, a plumbing leak in the slab, high humidity in a closed house, or water left on the floor after a spill.
Can buckled hardwood be fixed without replacing the whole floor?
Usually. Once the subfloor is dry, only the damaged boards are removed and new boards are woven in, then the area is sanded and refinished to blend.
Should I wait for it to flatten?
Not without finding the source. A floor that buckled from an active leak keeps getting worse, and trapped moisture can damage the subfloor.
